One such tankie , Caleb Mauphin inadvertently and ironically in his  'How BreadTube Serves Imperialism: Examining the New Brand of Internet Pseudo-Socialism" book shows how Breadtube is a perfect and safe first step/baby step leftward for the Democrat party to make in their march leftward toward real Socialism (like Democratic Socialists of America ideology)/Communism, Anarchism and other left wing socioeconomic ideologies  

Caleb Mauphin and other leftists like Grayzone even claim that Breadtube is funded by the US and UK government . He says that Breadtube is mobilizing young liberals (liberal 2.0ers) to keep dissident elements in line. It’s securing the rule of British and American corporations over the planet by trying to silence those who get in its way

Why are people who seem so unfamiliar with basic elements of socialist ideology suddenly elevated to the position of respected experts by the algorithms? I have had no doubt they were being covertly supported by powerful entities with goals other than overthrowing capitalism."

According to similar populist leftists BreadTube advocates for a hyper-identitarian narrative, imperialism-friendly readings of socialist politics that has earned its creators enthusiastic promos from establishment interests. ", "Youtube amplifies BreadTube influencers via its algorithm.", 

One tankie leftist even claimed that supposed leaked documents 'expose' that Breadtube has been weaponized by powerful interests who are allegedly connected to Western intelligence agencies.

Breadtuber Abigail Thorn’s dismantling of the political views of rightoid culture crusader Jordan Peterson has racked up somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 million Youtube video views and was sponsored by US media streaming service Curiosity Stream

Take The New York Times, in 2019 they published a long profile of a youth named Caleb Cain who supposedly “fell down the alt-right rabbit hole” on YouTube. Cain said that he was de-radicalized by him being exposed to videos by Breadtuber Abigail Thorn and other popular BreadTubers such as Contrapoints (Natalie Wynn)

So if Breadtube is that mainstream, woke, imperialist friendly and pro establishment as was suggested by those populist leftists like Mauphin and the Grayzone, maybe the Breadtube brand of leftist socioeconomic ideology would be a more pragmatic and realistic leftist socioeconomic ideology for the Democrats to embrace at this time than for the Democrats at this time to embrace Democratic Socialists of America socioeconomic ideology and other leftist socioeconomic ideologies that are to the left of Breadtube
